March Madness = March Sadness

So I don’t really hide the fact that I’m a die-hard University of Memphis athletics fan (it’s probably unhealthy, really), so you can imagine my disappointment with the loss to Missouri in the NCAA Tournament. But now that the University of Kentucky has completely raped and pillaged our entire basketball program…oh there are just no words…

On to good news. Matt broke is hand…no, wait… that’s not good news. But unfortunately the truth. Now you might say to yourself, “Don’t they have shows coming up?” And I would say, “Yes we do.” And you would then ask, “Well what are y’all gonna do for a drummer?” And I would say, “Finally! We get to use a drum machine!! Ingram Hill, dance-club style!” Just kidding. A friend of ours named Michael McManus will be filling in for a few weeks, until little Matty’s hand gets all better. :) So we look forward to seeing you soon.

Here’s to my beloved Memphis Tigers getting their program napalmed. Oh what a day

    Justin you think you’re upset!? I live in Kentucky, SEC hell. And now I have to listen to everyone brag about having Calapri!? Really!? Uh, I love Memphis, but I love Calapari. What is a girl to do!? Convert to the darkside(SEC)? Any advice?

    @Kailee Ingram

    The chaps were driving in the dark to a gig between Tennessee and Mississippi trying to figure out a name for themselves. Sir Moore had already had his drinks before even getting to the bar and he read a sign that he thought said “Ingram’s Hill” when in fact it said “Ingram’s Mill.”

    Later, they were called out on it, but the name stuck.

    So, my friend and I are sorry that a.) we missed this broken hand business and that b.) we forgot to give our condolences to your basketball team.
    If it can help you sleep at night, we’d like to tell you a story.
    Hypothetically, you could also be an Ohio sports fan, specifically Ohio State. We lose. Everytime. We come *that* close and then when it matters we get beat publicly on a massive scale like little school girls (usually by a team from Florida cause hell, as if their weather wasn’t better, lets also make their sports teams come through in the clutch). It’s awful. When Ellen sends the dancing lobsters to your campus to keep your students from jumping off the roof (true story), you know you might have picked the wrong team to support…..and then, your state NBA team, with lets face it, one of the best players in years in the entire league, chokes and ALSO loses to a Florida team….well….hell…..it’s over for us. Being from Ohio and loving sports is essentially like one epic fail. Here’s hoping y’all come out a little better off, sooner rather than later :)
    Feel better Matt!
